A new science fiction LARP event where a series of murders have drawn people together at a corporation’s building (Sky Corp) to identify the killers (or at least find someone to execute so they can be seen doing something).
Survive. Thrive. It’s scapegoat or be scapegoated.
The truth doesn’t matter so long as those in power believe you.
The God of the Sky (They/Them) ascended to divinity sixty years ago, creating a powerful corporation/church at unprecedented speed, upon defeating almost all their contemporaries in single combat. Despite having ten children, creating ties to the mortal world, the god retreated into their divine realm when their eldest was strong enough to take their place, taking up challenges from anyone trying to gain an audience with the god.
The world, long since set to the stars in a multi-planet sci-fi civilisation, is in a technological cold war where weapons have become so advanced that no one dares to fire them. War is handled almost entirely in the financial sector. The Sky Corp is in a cold war with two opposing factions; however, the matter on the table today is a threat from within. Two of their own are dead, and another is injured; the culprit is one of their own. They must quickly discover who is responsible, or pin the blame on someone so they’re seen doing something. The preparation towards tonight’s meeting has been hurriedly scrambling to cover up anything that could get them executed.
After all, you don’t have to have committed the crime. Someone just has to campaign hard enough to convince one of the four who can vote to cast their ballot for you, and everyone has something to hide.
